Sunny Afternoon in the Park

As a photographer, you never know what kind of session is ahead of you when you schedule it. Working with children, and even adults, can be tricky because you never know how they will perform in front of the camera. A big part of the job is trying to build trust in a very short amount of time, in order for the photos to be more natural. When that doesn't work, a little bribery doesn't hurt!

Lucky for me, this session with Logan and Ava went by so quickly and easily, I barely felt like I was working. Everything lined up right. The kiddos (again, after a little ice cream bribery), warmed up and gave me sweet smiles.

The rainy weather had cleared up enough to give us perfect overcast skies, which cast lovely, even color everywhere.

Crockett Park is one of my favorite parks nearby, and it provided us with the perfect backdrops for different poses. The different textures and natural props helped me get a variety of shots easily.

I was very happy with this session, as was the family! I enjoyed getting to meet some new clients and friends, and getting to hang out with these two awesome kids.
